There was a rather serious accident at the airfield today. During a routine winch launch of the Twin Astir, with an instructor and student on board, the left wing dropped and dragged in some thick knee high grass on the left of the runway.

By the time the instructor F(3) magically appeared on the airfield, at 11:30am, the North-Easterly was blowing too strong for any safe flying. more »

A little bit of a disappointing day.
I arrived early as the weather forecast predicted a strong Northerly wind would reach FAUH around 12pm. The instructor arrived late and took a student for a flight who basically jumped his position in the queue. Th… more »
